Stowe Recreation Path

All season walk/bike/ski paths from Stowe Village, following the West Branch River, passing numerous lodging and eating places along the Mountain Road. Great for kids and families of all ages!

One of the most beautiful and fun bike paths in the Northeast. Great for kids and families of all ages!

Access to swimming and other hiking and biking trails.

Dogs must be on-leash.

Near the Stowe Village end you can take a loop along the Quiet Path, that is a mowed trail on the conserved Mayo Farm property (bikes are not allowed here).

Dispose of Waste Properly
Dispose of solid human waste in a cathole 6-8 inches deep and at least 200 feet from water, camp, or trails. Don't forget to cover it up when you're done!

Trailhead Information

At the Stowe end, park behind Stowe Community Church, off Main Street in downtown Stowe. Recreation Path starts at end of parking lot.  Parking is also available at Chase Park, Thomson Park, and the north west end of the Path (the highest point), off Brook Road.
