This section of the Valley Trail, which is near Route 100 in West Dover, is a 0.73-mile paved multi-use pathway. It is an accessible trail and suitable for walking, jogging, biking, wheelchairs, and strollers. It is mostly flat; the maximum grade is 7%, and the average width is 8 feet.
The trail makes for a great outing for families with young children. The Dover Town Park, located along the trail, features a play area, benches, picnic tables, and a gazebo. Nearby, a 1929 Warren Pony Truss bridge, formerly used as a highway bridge in Wallingford, Vermont, carries the Valley Trail across the North Branch of the Deerfield River. Benches are located at this scenic spot. Food is available at businesses in the shopping plazas at either end of the trail.
The trail is cleared of snow in the winter months, making for easy walking.
This trail is related to, but physically separated from, the portion of the Valley Trail that runs from the village of Wilmington through the Town of Dover to Mount Snow Ski Area.

Town of DoverMount Snow Marketplace: Access to the south (or east) end of the trail is the parking lot for the Mount Snow Marketplace shopping plaza, 135 Route 100, West Dover, VT. The trail starts at the north (or west) end of the parking lot. The plaza contains businesses including the Valley Saloon. It is 2.5 miles south of the south access road to Mount Snow Ski Area, and 6.1 miles north of the intersection of Route 9 and 100 in downtown Wilmington.
Mountain Park Plaza: Access to the north (or east) end of the trail is the parking lot for the Mountain Park Plaza (911 address is approximately 209 Route 100, West Dover, VT). The trail starts at the far left corner of the parking lot. Mountain Park Plaza contains the post office and a movie theater. It is 1.6 miles south of the south access road to Mount Snow Ski Area, and 6.8 miles north of the intersection of Route 9 and 100 in downtown Wilmington.
Dover Town Park: Access to the middle of the trail is from the Dover Town Park, off Crosstown Road near its intersection with Route 100. Crosstown Road is 1.8 miles south of the south access road to Mount Snow Ski Area, and 6.6 miles north of the intersection of Route 9 and 100 in downtown Wilmington.
