These quiet, family-friendly trails offer something for everyone, passing through forest and field habitats with a network of interconnected trails providing a range of distances and difficulty levels.
There are 13 km (8 miles) of groomed trails which begin at the NorthWoods Main Lodge including the All Persons Trail, which is groomed through the winter, and offers a nice warm-up 0.8-mile loop around the main campus, and access to the wider network, including the popular Leadership Trail.
The Echo Lake Trail (2.75 miles) offers another girls address loop with a glimpse of Echo Lake. An additional 11 km (7 miles) of ungroomed trails provides the more adventurous backcountry skiers and snowshoers trails which cross a variety of habitats. All trails are open to both nordic skiing and snowshoeing.
Visit the trail kiosk outside the Main Lodge for maps, trail information, donation box and sign-in sheet. Current winter trail conditions available at northwoodscenter.org.
