Description

A great place to bring the kids to play on the playground or romp with the dogs. Some trails through the woods and wetlands nearby, and a connection to the Colchester Causeway to the north. Heading south away from the park, the bike bridge over the Winooski and the Burlington Bike Path are just a block away. The wetlands and the causeway are a frequent stopping place for migratory birds.

Log Schoolhouse Information Center and Museum: Restored and relocated to Airport Park in 2007, this historic one-room schoolhouse dates back to 1815. Today, visitors can stop in to learn about the construction of the Colchester Causeway and watch an informative video. The museum is open Memorial Day through Labor Day on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Visit the Colchester Historical Society online to learn more.
