Description

A 1.2 mile trail follows along the banks of the scenic Gridley River through a hemlock and northern hardwood foreest. As you walk the trail, you will pass a series of cascades and small waterfalls along the river. There are several large, flat rocks along the bank that protrude out into the river and falls which are lovely spots to enjoy the sounds of the river as it swiftly flows by. The trail follows along the river for quite a distance and then connects with a woodland loop trail. Between the rushing sounds of the river, the deep hemlock forest and banks of ferns and wildflowers, one feels very removed from the hectic pace of life in contemporary society.
