This one-half mile trail extends from the Essex Elementary School to the Trowbridge Crossing neighborhood. The trail is slightly sloped, runs parallel to a wetland and two open meadows, and includes a rustic bridge crossing. It is home to many animals including birds, geese, foxes, beaver, and the occasional moose.

Essex Parks & RecreationFrom Route 15 in Essex, 1.5 miles from I-289, proceed straight at the intersection with Browns River Road. Turn left onto Bixby Hill Road to find the Essex Elementary School parking lot. The trailhead is on the northern end of the parking lot.
