A small network of trails loop through the fields and forests in Sentinel Rock State Park. To get to Sentinel Rock, a large glacial erratic, park at the parking area farthest east on Hinton Hill East, just after the intersection to Coles Road.
From the east parking area, there is a 0.08-mile trail that offers access for many people both to the rock and to great views from the grassy knoll above the rock. The trail is 4+ feet wide with a packed gravel and stonedust surface. Cross slopes are minimal but the running slope is steep in some sections. There is an accessible picnic table at the end of the trail but no rest spots along the way. See Trail Access Information below for more information about this Accessible Experience.
Trails through the fields connect the Sentinel Rock Accessible Trail to the old homestead, to a loop through the forest and to the other two parking areas.
