Hi KSTROFF, the 6-acre waterfront parcel at River Park has been donated to Friends of River Park to ensure publicly accessible trails and river access. The former Bailey Brothers site could have been developed into over 130 single-family home sites as-of-right originally, but through a Neighborhood Planning Process back in 2007-2009 a different approach was developed that maintained significantly more open space through smart growth principles. The trail network will continue to evolve– and hopefully expand/connect to existing/proposed trails around us– but ongoing and improved public recreational access is central to the identity and goals of the project.

I love doing this trail either snowshoeing or cross country skies. So nice to be able to go down to the river. I hope that they do not develop this land with homes.
These awesome businesses support our goal of connecting people to outdoor adventures!
