The Dorset Green Connection Trail (0.2 miles) is short, but moderate due to steep section. It connects to the Orange Trail (0.8 miles), which loops around the property. The Pinnacle Tower itself is accessed via the Blue Trail (0.4 miles), which bisects the Orange Trail loop. It is a small ascent up to the Pinnacle Tower from either direction. Please be respectful of private property and be sure to keep dogs on-leash.
The Pinnacle Tower was built in 1910 by Miss Cecelia deNottbeck, the great-grand daughter of John Jacob Astor. She had the stone tower built at the top of the hill to replicate a "ruin" from the English landscape. 2010 marked the 100th year that the tower has stood on the hill above Dorset Village.

Town of Dorest, Outdoor Rec DeptIn Dorset Village, park at the Village Green along Church Street, which is just off VT-30, behind the library. Walk across VT-30 (carefully!) to access the trailhead for the Connector Trail.
There is also a small parking lot for Pinnacle trails off Pinnacle Lane, about 1 mile north of the Dorset Green. Please do not park on Dorset Village Lane. This trail is made possible through the generous permission of landowners who agreed to the trail being built. In order for the Town to retain this privilege, users must respect the parameters.
