The waterfront boardwalk follows the shore of Lake Memphremagog from the Newport City Dock to Pomerleau Park. There are many benches to sit and enjoy the views across the lake. There are also picnic pavilions and trees for shade. The boardwalk is at least 5 feet wide and either paved with bricks or on a boardwalk.
The boardwalk joins with the Newport Bike Path on a pedestrian and bike bridge north of Pomerleau Park. The Lakeshore Path then continues along the shore behind the Waterfront Plaza. This section is a gravel pathway only 2-3 feet wide. There are benches for rest along the way. The path ends behind the stores.

Town parking off Fyfe Drive - From Main Street in Newport, turn toward the lake onto Field Avenue. After one block, turn left onto Fyfe Drive then turn right into the parking lot.
Pomerleau Park (Accessible) - Parking, including accessible spots, is available off of the east end of Main Street in Newport.
Waterfront Plaza - Parking is available at the plaza across the bridge from downtown Newport.
