Description

The Morris Trail encircles the Colby-Sawyer College Kelsey Athletic Fields located off Seamans Road. The trail (also known as Kelsey Forest) is a moderately difficult 1.8-mile loop completed in 2017. The trail head is located at the tree line just right of the Kelsey Field gate, across from the parking area. Notable features of the trail include several large beech trees adjacent to the entrance next to the lacrosse field as well as an old growth Yellow Birch located between entrances on either side of the baseball field. The lower, northern segment of the trail skirts the top of former ski trails, predecessors to King Ridge Ski Area. In winter, this trail is groomed for multi-use.
