The Milton Town Forest was designated a town forest in 1991. Since then, people have enjoyed the natural attractions and trails on the property. The forest is mainly mixed hardwood interspersed with wetlands that support a diverse range of species. Over 50 species of birds have been observed in the town forest.
Bove Trail / Town Forest Access Trail - 0.86 miles - An easy trail through old farm fields and forest and along the edge of Milton Marsh. There is a moderate climb as the trail heads toward the intersection with the Pond Circuit.
Pond Circuit - 2.24 miles. This easy to moderate trail circumnavigates Milton Pond with multiple viewpoints. It follows moderate ridges on the east side of the pond.
Ridgeline Trail - 2.86 miles.This moderate to strenuous trail climbs through forest topography and along cliffs as it makes its way around the property.
Pond View Loop - 0.4 miles. A short, easy trail that accesses the peninsula on the south end of the pond along with views over the pond.

From Milton, head east on Main Street, which turns into the Westford-Milton Road. The parking lot and trailhead are on the right 3 miles past the four-way intersection with North Road.
Alternate parking is available in summer at the Carriage Barn on the right 2.3 miles past the four-way intersection with North Road. There is only room for four cars at this location.
