Description

The summit of Mount Pemigewasset (2,557') can be reached by two trails, Mount Pemigewasset Trail, which starts from the Flume Visitor Center, and the Indian Head Trail, which starts from a small parking lot south of Indian Head Resort. Both trails climb moderately, with some steep sections, for just under 2 miles to the summit. The summit and summit ledges provide fine views of Franconia Notch to the northeast.

Trailhead Information

The Mount Pemigewasset trail starts from The Flume Visitor Center parking lot. Please note that this lot can fill in the summer and on weekends. To get to the trail, follow the bike path from the parking lot then turn left on a gravel path that travels under the highway toward Mt. Pemigewasset.

To get to the Indian Head Trail, travel north on US-3 from Lincoln. Turn right on a short gravel road marked with a trailhead parking sign. There is a small parking area at the end of the road.
