Description

The Epps Mill Trail is a pleasant wooded trail consisting of a one mile out-and-back trail with a small loop at the end. The trail is accessed from Kenney Road via a small foot bridge. The trail follows Academy Brook, which was used during the 1700's-1900's for water mills that powered activities such as shingle making, saw milling, and cider pressing. The historic Epps Mill site hosts impressive stone foundations, and it was host to the first electrified home in Loudon, run by a turbine from this brook. This short trail provides ample opportunities for nature discovery and exploration of regional history.

This trail is on private property. Please respect the landowners and stay on the marked trail. Motorized vehicles are prohibited.
