Description

The Dahl Wildlife Sanctuary is nestled next to the Saco River, provides a network of trails that explore a variety of habitats, and is good for wildlife observation. The Silver Maple Trail winds along the edge of a field in which there are many nest boxes for birds. At the end of the Beach Trail there is a cobble barren along the river that provides good views outward. This cobble barren also hosts several patches of rare plants: hairy hudsonia and silverling. The Pine Trail goes through a section of upland forest; note that snowmobiles are permitted along this trail in the winter.

Pets are allowed as long as they are kept on a short leash. Please clean up after your pet.
