View Connector Trails
There are two trailheads for this trail. One trailhead is at a farm road approximately 0.6 miles south on Elm Street from the intersection with US Route 7; the other access is about 1 mile from US Route 7 south on Elm Street at the Cooley Covered Bridge.
The outer loop trail (Cadwell Trail) provides and easy walk with two short uphill climbs. The trail passes through fields and meadows, meandering along Otter Creek, Furnace Brook, and a lagoon. Beaver, otters, turtles, fish, ducks, birds, and wildflowers abound in the varied habitats along this trail. The Phillips Trail is a small loop trail with great views off the larger Cadwell Trail.
The Cadwell Trail links to the Meadow Loop (a 1.6-mile route to the northeast) by following the connecting trail and bridge indicated by the sign at the intersection with section of the Cadwell Trail east of Elm Street.
Cooley Covered Bridge is located at the southern parking area.

Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces
Stick to established trails and campsites. If there's no trail, try to walk on rock, gravel, or snow and spread out so that your group doesn't create a trail.
