Our Lodge is currently closed to public visitors, but our trails are open. Trail users are welcome to use the on-site portalette.

Description

The NorthWoods Stewardship Center is a non-profit educational, research & conservation service organization serving northern VT and New England. Our local youth crews are employed each year to build and maintain many of the hiking trails frequented in the Northeast Kingdom. Our East Charleston campus hosts educational events and has family-friendly interpretive hiking trails as well as 20km of groomed and backcountry ski and snowshoe trails, all open to the public. Each autumn we host the Westmore Mountain Challenge, a popular 1 day, 5 mountain, 26 mile hiking challenge event.
