Description

Waterbury Center State Park has three trails for visitors to enjoy.

The most accessible trail follows the shoreline and offers views across the reservoir. The 8-feet wide packed stonedust trail has 2% slope. Cross slopes are minimal. Rest spots are available along the trail. See Trail Access Information below for more information about this Accessible Experience.

The Nature Trail includes information about the natural world in Vermont and the Connector Trail links the entrance to the Nature Trail.

Park visitors can also enjoy the picnic area and beach and can use the boat launch to access the reservoir.

The park is open Memorial Day through the 2nd Monday in October.

Trail Tips

Plan Ahead and Prepare
Know your limits – it’s okay to turn back. Your home is the ultimate destination, not the summit.

Trailhead Information

From Waterbury Center turn west on Reservoir Road and proceed to the state park entrance.

In the winter, the road is plowed to the gate and parking is along the road. Please do not block traffic.
