The Taylor Mill Historic Site features a 200 year-old saw mill at the outlet of Ballard Pond as well as a short network of trails on the property.
From the parking area, the Ballard Pond Loop follows the edge of Ballard Pond to the historic Taylor Sawmill at the outlet of the pond.

New Hampshire Division of Forests & LandsFrom Derry, head east 0.8 miles on NH-28 to the intersection of NH-28 and NH-28B. Continue straight through the intersection onto Island Pond Road. In 3.6 miles, turn left into a small dirt parking area located just west of the Taylor Mill Historic Site. Parking area is not well marked. No parking is available next to the mill site along Island Pond Road.
