Perry Holbrook Memorial State Park was deeded to the state in 1991 by Clair and Frances Holbrook. The park was named in honor of Mr. Holbrook’s late son Perry who grew up exploring the area. From the trailhead, an access road travels east to the first of three ponds in the park, Round Pond. At the pond, the Holbrook Trail narrows and travels along the pond's shoreline. There is a private camp along Round Pond. Please respect the owner and stay on the trail in this area.
After reaching the second pond, Long Pond, there is an intersection with the Summit Loop, which climbs steeply to the O'Leary Leap Overlook, head to the summit of Big Rock Hill and then loops back to Long Pond.
The Holbrook Trail continues to a lean-to along Long Pond and then to the third pond, Mud Pond.

Proceed past the farm house on the left to a grassy parking area at the entry to the state park. This is a right-of-way over private land. Please respect the private landowner and stay on the drive.
In the winter, a pull-off will be plowed at the entrance to the right-of-way. Park in the plowed area and walk along the right-of-way to the kiosk and park entrance. Please be respectful of the park's neighbors.
