Winding trails through light streams with views of multiple marshes. The main marsh on this property has a large beaver dam and often Herons can be seen there. Some crossings can have high water in spring season as a stream runs through the property adjacent to some trail locations.

Description

The Low Property is a combination of easements totaling around 127 acres. The easements where granted on behalf of Robert and Benjamin Low in 2010. The Low property is a wooded trail system that takes you past multiple marsh views ending in a spectacular view of a beaver dam. The Low Property has multiple stream crossings that can be flowing high in spring. Trails are mainly easy walking with some moderate spots.

*Summer 2020 update note the main beaver dam let go and is in process of being monitored for signs of rebuild keep safe distance.**

Additional trails were cut by Boyscouts in 2018.

Uses and Restrictions: Hunting is allowed but motorized vehicles are not.

The easement was purchased through a combination of Natural Resource Conservation Service funds and Derry Conservation Commission land acquisition funds.

Travel on Durable Surfaces
Stick to established trails. If there's no trail, try to walk on rock, gravel, or snow and spread out so that your group doesn't create a trail.

Trailhead Information

From Derry, head northeast on W. Broadway (102). At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto E Derry Rd. Continue onto Hampstead Rd. Turn right onto Warner Hill Rd. Turn right onto Hubbard Hill Rd. Access to the trails is at the cul-de-sac at the end of Hubbard Hill Rd.
