These trails offer outstanding views of the Ossipee Mountain Range, Sandwich Mountain Range, and Ossipee Lake, as well as bogs to explore and beaver activity to observe.

Description

This network consists of six trails: Green Mountain, Hill Top, Beaver, Moose, Deer Run, and Esker, with a combined distance of about 2.0 miles. The trails are well-maintained, well-marked, and suitable for winter travel with snowshoes or microspikes. They offer views of the Ossipee Mountain Range (Roberts, Faraway, and Shaw) and the Sandwich Mountain Range (Tripyramids, Whiteface, Pasaconway, Paugus and Chocorua). The Deer Run Trail leads to the shore of Ossipee Lake.

Plan Ahead and Prepare
Be prepared to find your way home. Familiarize yourself with the area before you set out and bring your map and compass along.

Trailhead Information

Take NH-16 to Ossipee, and turn onto NH-25 East towards Effingham and Maine. Go approximentally 3 miles then take a left onto Long Sands Road. Go 0.1 miles to the Constitution Park main entrance and parking area on the right. 

Other parking areas and trailheads are located 0.2 miles beyond main entrance to the park (turn right at the sign for Hiking Trails) for the Deer Run, Moose, and Esker Trails; and 0.2 miles beyond Long Sands Road on NH-25 to Pequawket Trail Road, then 0.1 miles down Pequawket Trail Road on the left, for the High Top Trail.
