Description

Bailey Pond is the only “Great Pond” - a natural body of water greater than 10 acres protected by state statute - within the New Boston town limits.  Formed by the beaver dam on the west side, the pond provides a sanctuary for wildlife, as well as a protected water supply. The 2-mile main loop trail provides views of the great pond and, from the top of the old Hooper Hill ski slope, mountains to the west. Two side trails connect to other trails off the town property. Access is also available from Hooper Hill Road.

Other Information

The conservation easement on this private property was generously donated to the town by the deRoetth family.
