Take I-89 South to Richmond exit, turn right after exit onto Route 2. In Richmond, turn right at light onto Bridge Street and head south. Parking is in the Volunteer Green Park, which is on the right, just before the bridge over the Winooski. The trail begins near the river's edge.
This short, but popular trail is maintained by the Richmond Trails Committee. It follows the Winooski River north from the Volunteer Green through a magnificent cottonwood stand.
Volunteer Green is Richmond's public park. It has picnic tables, baseball fields, a playground, and hosts a weekly Farmers' Market in the summer.
Dogs on leash, please.

Leave No Trace Principle
Dispose of Waste Properly
Keep the Twin States (Vermont & New Hampshire) green and clean! Pick up trash, even if it's not yours. Leave soon-to-be trash like excess packaging, stickers, and twist ties at home.
