Description

The Norske Trail is a wilderness hiking and skiing trail that connects to the Catamount Trail and the Rikert Nordic Ski Center. Much of the trail is gradual ups and downs with several extended elevation changes on the western side of the trail. You can continue your ski by connecting with the Catamount Trail on FR 59 or return to VT-125. The trail begins and ends on private property; please be respectful of the owners.

Trailhead Information

From Hancock, head west on VT-125 until you see the Middlebury College Snow Bowl on your left. There’s a pull off on the right just before the entrance to the Snow Bowl where you can park.

Alternately, the trailhead for the Norske Trail is a 5 minute walk uphill on Rt. 125 from the Middlebury College Snow Bowl parking area.
